Silambam
Silambam is an art which was created by Siddhars for the common people to protect themselves when there is a life threatening situations. It is an out which was developed very systematically and scientifically. Silambams was the first martial art in Asia. Silambams main focus is on the bamboo staff. The length of the staff depends on the height
of the practioner. There are numerous sub-sects in silambam. Each is unique and may differ from one another in grip, posture, foot work, method of attack, movement of the stick and so on. Students who are interested in this martial art, with keen interest, involvement and passion learn it. The techniques are taught according to their age & elves.
